Excellent service & delicious food!! Such unique dishes! Added plus was that it was just across the street from where we stayed at the Zion Camp RV park. The views were spectacular from their large windows.

This place was a huge disappointment. I went here because it was recommended to me. Got the lamb because, again, it was recommended to me. I’ve never had terrible lamb but this certainly qualified as such. I have some dietary restrictions as of recently and this is probably the least accommodating a restaurant has ever been. Big disappointment.

Fantastic food and great service. Wonderful specials the day we were there. So much that we repeated next day

The Spotted Dog in Springdale, UT, is consistently great. Make a reservation if you can, but if you can't and have to wait, sit and have a drink in the (tiny) bar. Either way do yourself a favor and order the smoked trout appetizer because it's phenomenal. I'm not really a fan of trout, pickled onions or mustard, but I make an exception for the outstanding version at Spotted Dog. Dinner was boneless rib, which was very good, but the braised lamb shank was this evening's winner. Perfectly cooked and utterly delicious. Service was also excellent, as usual. Our server Kate, as well as James and Jerry, were all wonderful -- friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. One of my favorite spots in Springdale.

Great food, great service! Would highly recommend

Income year after year. It is ALWAYS delicious. The service is always pleasant, prompt, and the kitchen always sends the food out rare or medium as ordered. Always amazing and a burger or burrito is 15 dollars anyway so why not spend 20 on a real entree and enjoy your meal. THIS PLACE IS A MUST

Food was a little bit on the pricy side but, not unreasonably so considering the tourist trap potential. Food and service was very good. Overall a nice respite after a long day of hiking in Zion.

If you want to impress your date, take them here. The service is phenomenal, the food is absolutely perfect, and it all comes with great views of Zion. I'm a vegan with celiac disease, and they were so attentive and accommodating. I got drinks (you've GOT to try their Moscow mule!!), an amazing entree, and the most delicious chocolate lava cake I've ever had the good fortune to put into my mouth. The prices are a little steep, so this is definitely a special occasion deal (unless you've got the cash to spend, in which case you should please live out my fantasy of eating here every day forever). In short, eat here. It's really good.

Good eatery in Zion area. Was open Christmas eve. Food was very good and was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the lamb shank and red snapper, and meatloaf for the kiddo. All were very good, but the meatloaf was exceptional! Will return again if we visit Zion.

All the dishes were very delicious, the meatloaf has beef, elk and bison. The staff was incredible, very attentive. Desert was delicious as well. The place is upscale and no music. It was very quiet in there and some patrons were not pleased by our laughter and attire after hiking.

Fantastic food and service. Everything was delicious.

Have to say this was our favorite place for dinner in the town. Ate there twice and was not disappointed either time. Has the wild game meatloaf. Very good and had no gamey taste at all.

Awesome service, amazing food, wonderful view. Everything from the beer to the dessert was perfect. 10/10 would recommend. If you have the opportunity to go for supper do it! You won't be disappointed.

Our local friend suggested this place and all of us had a abso"LOU"tely "MEMORABLE" (Old Fashion) evening. The staff, atmosphere, drinks, food, and service are on spot and so refreshing to experience. Thank you!

The food was good but considering the price we expected more since we has some critic. The lamp was missing a sauce and the sides inspiration. The rice which came with the chicken breast had some uncooked grains.

Good food not great. Helpful staff.

Fantastic local cuisine and a nice selection of Utah craft beer.

Restaurants in locations like Zion could get by on location and view alone. The Spotted Dog doesn't rely on views alone, they excel with their food and service as well. The meatloaf is the best I have ever had, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dish. Of all the restaurants in Zion Village, this is a true standout.

Food was good but service wasn't. We came in and ordered our entrees since we didn't feel like drinks/appetizers. Another pair of people were seated next to us and they ordered a handful of items, and we noticed that the waitress stopped by their table to check in on them much more than us. We had finished eating and she didn't ask whether we wanted dessert or the check - we had to ask the table runner.

This was great dining experience. Stopped in thinking it was a cafe after a day in Zion and was surprised with 5 star fine dining with very reasonable prices. Been to a few very good restaurants in the area (both gates of Zion) and this one is by far the highest quality of dining.

Perfection in dining in the park.Right as you exit you see the spotted dog. There was a wait for inside but outside no wait (Sunday 6:15pm). The propane lamps keep you warm. Spectacular views see the picture.I have never had Bree cheese this fresh where it was melting. Our waiter was great. The filet mignon melted like butter cooked to a perfect medium rare. The duck was also great. Prices were super fair.Great place will come back

David are server was friendly and amazing. This was the first time my wife and I visited here. The food was top notch we ate our entire main course and got our own dessert. Best food ever!!! Def recommend.

Definitely wouldn't call this "casual dining" as they describe themselves. For a small town that runs on tourism casual dining should feel casual for the tourist. Instead it felt more geared toward the casual middle aged, middle class couple looking for a good meal. The vibe just had an older atmosphere to it.Nonetheless, everyone was very polite, food was above average. My braised short ribs were very dry, topped with bbq sauce. The flavor itself was not bad. Complimentary flat bread was provided along with sauce that was very tasty.Overall it was highly priced but they get so much traffic it wouldn't really matter. 3 stars for good service.

Stopped in for their Thanksgiving dinner special. It was amazing! The turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato and everything else on the plate was delicious (and I normally don’t like cranberry sauce or sweet potatoes). Best of all, you can order more of whatever you want and it was only about $25 per person. We didn’t have a reservation, but were seated right away in the pretty packed restaurant. Those after us that waited only had to wait for about 15 minutes at the bar. If you’re in Springdale on Thanksgiving, you have to come here for dinner.

Food was really delicious. Waiter was very professional.Prices were high. But quality and service were really good too.On 25th December we had to wait one hour, because many restaurants were closed. In the meantime we drunk beers at the bar from the restaurant.

Pretty impressed for a hotel restaurant with fair prices. Wouldn't call it a destination restaurant and some aspects of service like presenting a platter with the dessert offerings seemed a bit dated, but, again, a solid experience overall.

Great food with amazing atmosphere. Sat outside and got the New England claw chowder, encrusted trout, and lemon cake. Delicious.

Fantastic meal & impressive wine list. We had the brie appetizer, French onion soup, duck and lamb shank entrees last night. All were cooked to perfection. Service was spot on.

See Todd at the bar to fix you up. It snowed while we were in town. Beautiful.

Best meal I had while I was in Zions. One of the best meals I have ever had period! The server was wonderful and attentive. The view amazing!

Terrible restaurant with terrible service. They were not accommodating at all for our dietary needs. The waiter acted like he was doing us a favor by checking to see if the dishes could be modified in a simple manner. They couldn’t modify anything on the menu for us. We ordered the veggies burgers which tasted like mush with buns out of a package. Everything is obviously pre made ahead of time. After we ordered, the waiter never came back to check on us. Stay away from this place! It’s one of those restaurants that tries to be classy but misses the boat completely. Also very expensive for what you got.

Great atmosphere and food. Wish we'd known the "drink special" cocktails were so expensive before we ordered 3 of them. Service was good though. Everything just seemed a little overpriced, especially drinks.

The duck and salmon are wonderful! The dishes are well displayed. The servers are very friendly. The place is popular, so better make reservation ahead of time. We have high expectations for the red trout because of reviews. So we are kind of disappointed of the less flavor of the dish.

Wonderful dinner location and breakfast spot. We liked it so much we came back for the breakfast buffet ($9). I highly recommend if you are in the area. They have both inside and outside sitting and everything we had was great. The hummingbird were a plus too. The smoked red trout was a refreshing appetizer.

Casual dining at its best. Our waiter, Jess, was amazing. Made a reservation in Opentable and was seated right away. Ordered a Manhattan and it was perfect. The mushrooms were worth it. Duck breast was amazing and the pasta is awesome too. Good place for a dinner if in town.
Robert Wright
Went to their restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. Food was great. Service was fast, and friendly.

This place is just excellent! Our servers were so very nice, loved what they were doing. You could easily see that! The food was so good. High end. Prepped beautifully too! Prices were great. Just can't say enough good about this fine restaurant!
Gus Workman
Excellent food, and extremely friendly staff! This place is a bit fancier than many of the options around, but well worth it. Would recommend, the trout was fantastic

Fabulous restaurant. Anna, our server, is the best ever. I had the local meat loaf, which I loved. My wife had red trout, which was perfect. Also an amazing wine list. Have fun.
Thomas Sizemore
Excellent service with great food. I had their lamb shank meal. The meat fell off the bone. Here is its photo.
Chris Wilson
Food was very good. A nicer place in town for dinner. We had a burger and the short rib. Both were very good.
Nick Yu
Good quality ingredients. American hearty (but not necessarily healthy) preparations. Good service, comfortable dining room. For me it's too much sauce, too much sugar in the sauces. The meatloaf is well prepared as it's tender and not gamey at all. Reservations recommended.

After spending a 2-days-fantastic-vacation in Zion, we went there for our farewell dinner. It was quite a charming experience to dine in the restaurant. The well mannered staff and the beautifully decorated restaurant was really warm on us. There was a little waiting before we got our table, but the waiting was not boring at all. And the food was really good. So good that we forgot to take pictures of it, we just ate. :P

Best meal we've had on our holiday, the staff were also really friendly. Wish we had found this place before our last night in Zion!
Raminta K
We were very impressed with the food here. The pasta purses with pears were really good and the meatloaf was exceptional. We ordered wine too and it paired well with our meal. Would definitely recommend coming here after hiking in Zion!

The spotted dog has had a place in my heart since my first visit, many, many moons ago. One menu item always stayed on top of my list. Wild game meatloaf. I was saddened by the death of the original owner, but his daughter and the excellent staff assure the continuation of that wonderful place. Zion = Spotted Dog.
Doug Plagemann
The dishes were very well done, quality food, great service, great view. I would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a nice dinner in Zion
Jennifer Mayer
The food and service was incredible. My husband ordered the red trout and I ordered a pasta dish. The dessert was incredible as well. Our server was Libby and she was so friendly.Must stop while you’re here

Grabbed food here after a long day. Sat outside with incredible views of Zion which made the experience amazing. The food was great, though the service was a bit slow. Couldn't figure out whether this was a upscale place or just a regular old restaurant. Has the name of a cafe, though the experience of an upscale restaurant with well dressed servers and great food presentation.

For us, it was all about the trout. Good mixed drink and glass of wine with dinner. Fine apps. But the Idaho trout dish must be their specialty because many people ordered it and it was SOO good. Done to perfection, served over wild rice and green beans. Yum!
